The Senyera is a flag of the Catalan people and one of the national symbols of Catalonia. It comes from the emblem of the lineage of the counts of Barcelona, which is already recorded in 1150 in a stamp by Ramon Berenguer IV. From the time of James I he was known as a “royal flag” or “royal sign”. Desclot i Muntaner (end of the thirteenth and early twentieth century) referred to as “the sign of the kings of Aragon” and few decades later began to be used as a “flag of Catalonia”. With the arrival of the Renaixença in the nineteenth century, the Catalan movement took it as the national flag of Catalonia.
The XiuXiu® card is designed between Barcelona and Vietnam, carved with the precision of the laser technology and assembled by hand to obtain an optimum finishing detail.
Thanks to a laborious calculation and precise structure, the figure unfolds and joins perfectly, without the use of adhesive material, due to the effect of the movement of opening and closing the card.
XiuXiu® products promote the principles of Fair Trade, fuse art, origami with ecology and promote values such as solidarity and culture.
